SCANEAT

Design for a nutrition assistant app

Challenge

Many people want to maintain control over their daily caloric intake but often find the process of checking nutrition labels and logging meals tedious, time-consuming, and inconsistent. This leads to frustration, lack of adherence, and overall difficulty maintaining healthy eating habits.

Solution

ScanEat provides a fast, intuitive way to track calories and nutritional values through a single action: taking a photo of your meal. Using image recognition, the app identifies the food and instantly displays key nutritional information: calories, macros, and other essential values, eliminating the need for manual input.

Typography

For the logo I chose a sans serif elegant font, classic, one that looks taken out of a food menu.

For the rest of the app I chose a more basic sans serif technological font, so it would be user friendly, readable and easy to understand.

Logo

The logo is a play of words, there is a scan like stripe, on the word scan, and eat is green, a color that is related with food and health.

Color

the color palette chosen was a green pallet. Green is usually a color that is associated with food and health.
