BARCADE
Branding
Barcade is a bar-arcade concept born from nostalgia and a thirst for adventure. A complete brand identity inspired by 80s graffiti culture.
Designed for the cool geeks who'd call it home.
Logo
The logo was inspired by tape cutouts and the graphite style of the 80's.
To create that feeling of DIY, instead of selecting a font, the Letters were drawn.

Typography & color
The font chosen was Cascadia Code, which is a simple sans serif font used for programming. It brings the simplicity of the 80's along with the computer/video game vibe.
The colors chosen were a game of black and white, like the monochrome of the 80's screens, also allowing the prints to "get crazy" with various neon pantones outside of the computer's pallet.
Illustrations
The illustrations were inspired by Keith Haring's graphite, in video game and bar themes.
The illustrations can be used as a fun add to the branding.

The Tournament
The Bar is throwing a Space Invaders tournament, and the posters are hanged throughout the city on the neighborhoods billboards.
On the day of the tournament the participants receive a participation bracelet to mark who is competing.

The Prize
The winner of the tournament will receive a cool prize, the latest version of the iPhone in a vintage designed box.
The box is designed like a gameboy taken from the 80's.

The Bar
Barcade offers the best quality food, snacks and drinks.
The design reflects that, with a fun wink to the nostalgic video games.
